Human connection, creativity, and light have always drawn me to photography and makeup. Encouraging self-worth and confidence in others through my work helps me, each day, restore and build my own. Photography and makeup are about finding shadows and highlights, ironically, we can see those same contrasts within the stories of our own lives and family trees.

The hills and valleys of life are what shape our authentic beauty. They are what make our stories uniquely our own. And if we are willing, our shadows can become places of growth — allowing us to live more confidently and more audaciously.

Just as the full moon shines light across a night sky, reflecting the vastness of an expansive universe, choosing to step forward into the light allows our hearts to expand. In that openness, we receive the blessings God always intended for us. Often, the very thing we are avoiding in life is the Very thing that will set us free.

When we face our fears, insecurities, need for control, old stories, patterns, and limiting beliefs — and when we choose forgiveness and release — the strongholds that once kept us in the dark begin to dissipate. What remains is hope. What remains is light.Paragraph

Live audaciousLY

Confidence is created when we learn to climb the mountain and allow our attitudes and beliefs to be tested. When we learn to shed self-doubt and the limiting beliefs within ourselves, only then can we say we have evolved.

Self-love is self-empowerment, and it is time we stop feeling guilty for celebrating who we are and where we come from. It is time to honor and speak our story—how far we have come, our struggles, our victories, our wins, and our losses.

The traumas we have lived through are lessons in finding beauty and gratitude within the pain. The highs and lows of life are unavoidable. We all face adversity, bringing our insecurities, vulnerabilities, and fears to the surface.

When we choose self-acceptance and stand boldly in our life’s purpose and mission—despite the giants and obstacles before us—we learn to truly value ourselves. Our Creator gave each of us unique gifts, passions, talents, and purpose.

I believe we have the power to bring positive change when we learn to let go of control, trust, and have faith in the journey, while celebrating and learning along the way.
